"Best of all is when your troops are held in such awe that everyone comes to surrender. This is preferrable to winning by trickery, violence and slaughter."

- Sun Tzu, Art of War, Chp. 3 "Planning the Attack".

Reminds me of Cheney's, "Iraqis will welcome American troops as liberators" comment.

I'm betting that, in the deepest part of its being - the one that doesn't lie - this Chicken Hawk Administration is wondering, "Where the fuck did we go wrong?"

The fact that they haven't recognized that things have actually gone wrong is bad enough.

That, even if they did, they probably don't have a clue on how to fix the mess they made is worse.

I'm getting tired of quoting Sun Tzu to the Republican Chicken-Hawks controlling the White House and (unfortunately) the fate of a good chunk of humanity. But still - you would think they can't possibly be as dense and clueless as that, can they?

Anyway - here's another lesson from Sun Tzu President Chicken-Hawk failed to heed:

"Do not figure on opponents not attacking; worry about your own lack of preparation. When you can attack anywhere and defend everywhere, your military strategy is complete."

Sun Tzu, The Art of War, Chp. 6, Emptiness and Fullness.
