Just how thick is this Administration??!??
Ok, agreed, the PDB did not state when or where Osama Bin Laden's Al Qaeda was going to strike.

But here's what it did state:

a. Al Qaeda wanted to strike the United States;
b. Hijackings were one of the possible methods;
c. There was a lot of suspicious activites going around in flight schools across the country; and
c. Al Qaeda members were in the country.

Couple all of that with all the increased chatter being picked up, at the very least, there was enough to put the government on alert.

You would think so, anyway.

Unfortunately, the Bushies seem to be living in their own little dream world.
(Hero fantasies of middle aged men, no doubt.)

Anyways,

Did the government thighten security at airports? Uh, not really.
Did it increase surveillance of the flight schools? Nah, no need.
Maybe it decided to watch those Al Qaeda members more closely? Nope, don't think so.

The crime isn't that the Bush White House knew about Sept. 11 and did nothing. It's that it had credible and hard intelligence that an Al Qaeda attempt to strike the United States was a virtual certainty and did nothing to prepare itself to meet and stop that threat head on.
